The History of Multicell
Multicell began in 1989 manufacturing custom battery packs, working with leading companies such as Panasonic and Maxell.
In the late 1990s, whilst our custom battery pack manufacturing continued to expand, we opened our Multicell Norwich depot distributing batteries to industries including Automotive, Marine and Leisure, Commercial and Mobility.
In 2004 we opened Multicell Evesham, allowing us to further expand our delivery areas and deliver wholesale batteries to trade customers throughout the UK.
In 2015 Multicell acquired Batteries Direct Golf to service the UK golf industry with SLA and Lithium batteries. Batteries Direct Golf is now a Trading Name of Multicell International and continues to supply Foremost, TGI and private golf clubs with a range of batteries.
In 2020, we moved into our new Leicestershire HQ in Broughton Astley, expanding our warehouse facility and our production workshop.
We Are The Bespoke Battery Specialists
Our in-depth knowledge of different battery technologies enables us to competently deal with all types of cell chemistry from Sealed Lead Acid, Nicad & Nickel Metal Hydride to include Lithium and Alkaline.
We undertake specialist assemblies for the M.O.D, Police Forces, Utilities and many other sectors within our in-house design and development lab and comprehensive modern assembly workshop.
